Replace front shocks Replace rear shocks Replace rear leaf springs Eat choccy buscuits and drink coffee. viewtopic.php?f=32&t=37195#p403479 Lawrence
Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!I've had new front shocks, new rear shocks and new leaf springs. I've also stuck in a new air filter for good measure. The new springs have lifted my truck over three inches at the back so wound the bars up at the front 1 and a half inches.
I'll see how much it settles over the next week or two. It drives much better, much tighter and alot less bouncy over speed humps. The front shocks were shot, the rears very slow to return so i think they were about due for a change Mnay thanks to Trugga and Damnrabbit for doing most of the donkey work for me. Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Came home to diesel slick under the 2.8lwb...
Noticed a drip yesterday, but it was peeing with rain, and the car was soaked after just driving back from the workshop...so couldnt tell how bad it was leaking or whether it was mostly water coming off the car...and no chance of locating leak. So mad panic to find the somewhat major leak tonight...fuel return pipe was corroded and leaking typically in the most difficult place to get to... And not got many tools at home and no fuel pipe... Luckily Sally bought Kels (Krusher) camping stove back from the workshop yesterday with all the other stuff from the weekender to give it good clean... Stove is now misus pipe to regulator...and 2.8 is fixed for now so Sally can use it for work 2moz...and we are covered in mud and diesel from crawling around under it... Cheers Kel....I will buy a new length of hose for the camping stove...but it really got me out the poo tonight! Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Busy day on the truck today, new water pump, all new belts and tensioners and a front wheel bearing, as mine was like the back to the future car, had so much play!! Lol. Also Bodged the ever increasing hole I have in the back box.
Cleaned it out, 2 bags of rubbish I had out of it. Only had it a month! Lol. Next on the list is Hoover out and a good outside clean as it spends it's days on a demolition site it gets very grubby!!
Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Had the chip in my windscreen repaired. Autoglass did it for a shade under £84. They can out to my place of work and it only too 15 minutes. And before anyone asks "Why didn't you claim on your insurance? It'd be free!" Yes it would...if I had windscreen cover. Never mind. Done now, and guaranteed for the live of the car.
