Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Just went out night laning and fox spotting. 15 kilometrers and only 3 kilometers on tarmac. She's going great and the Yacco fuel cleaner has done the business. VAROOM.
Bolted flywheel loves it. WAHEY! Thanks FOG for all the help. Seriously tempted to go out again but there's a farm to run in the morning. Luckily sheep don't like to get up early. They prefer to stay where they are sleeping till the dew is off the ground. Who am I to wake them up early? Glad I don't do milking cows. If you need something done quickly just ask a busy woman then get the f"k out of her way.

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!today I decided to see how much oil it had used in a 700 miles. 3 weeks ago it was full, today it was just above 3/4.
Also topped antifreeze/coolant ready for winter. Then dropped the rest of the antifreeze on my new CAI for my Mazda 3 MPS which resulted in the air filter getting soaked. Last edited by Llywelyn111 on Sat Oct 02, 2010 7:57 pm, edited 1 time in total.
Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Tighten the sump pan bolts up 10mm I think, clean out your breather on the rocker cover, see it oil consumption improves

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Well, today I started the winter TLC program for the Bus...
After waking up yesterday with wet roof lining, and a general damp feeling I had a quick chat with my Aunt's other half who runs a body shop, and ran the old gal down to Christchurch this morning. Had the devil of a time getting the roof-rack off but decided to persevere, so I could clean underneath it and do a decent job on the roof. Now, the roof. What I originally took to be a little rust round the sunroof making the paint bubble, turned out to be a whole lot of rust, all the way through the outer skin in a lot of places, covered by a thin veneer of paint. Bashed all the rust / paint off, marvelled at just how many places you could fit a finger through the roof, then started with the grinder, then the hot air gun to dry things out a little. Copious amounts of P40 fibreglass, then filler, and some fairly thick coats of primer later, I think I'm waterproof again. Not the prettiest job ever, but I want weatherproof, not showroom condition. Project for the next week or two will be to remove pretty much all the interior inc. roof-lining, then get under the sunroof properly with a fibreglass mat kit and seal it properly, then the roof will get a re-spray I think. Piccies when I can find the dock lead for the iPhone. Tomorrow, we change the oil & coolant Jim Jim...
