Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Well, I went shopping for mine today *ouch*
Not too bad, really, all considered. Came away with 20l of semi-synth 10w40 oil (2x engine & 'box change), 4l of 75w90 gear oil (2x rear diff change), an air filter & an oil filter, for the sum of £85. The filters are for the SWB next weekend, just waiting on one more oil filter, as the BBB has a K&N panel, for which i aleready have the cleaner. Time to get busy, I think. Jim...

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!I used The Chugga Waggon to help me move house yesterday. Surprising how much cr4p u can get in her once you've folded the seats. Had loads of weight in the back and even with the new Kingpins on, nothing caught. Well impressed, yet again

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Took her along the north downs way, and scratched her up (sorry). Very very very tight along there. Videoed it too took 55 minutes along there. But good fun
Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Blew a sidelight bulb and scratched the cr@p out of my paintwork, and it was soooooooooooooooooooooooo worth it

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Hoovered it as it was full of dried mud from the woods.
Quick once over on the interior to get rid of the dust. Refitted the gearstick boot. Fluids check. Cleaned inside of the windows. Polished the nearside. (I'd had enough by that point All ready for the weekender now Traffic lights in London are just rough guidelines
Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!changed the front bumper today for a 1 with headlight washers and generally in better condition , snapped a few bolts along the way no a problem but had a right job getting the holes to line up and the bumper lined up at the arches , got it fitted but going to take it off another day as im not 100% happy with it
Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Hoiked her off the ground and fitted the fly wheel (bolted) and the fronty 2.8 clutch Kit with a Trooper friction plate.
Then ran out of time. Any tips on putting a G/Box back in a 2.8 Lwb A Series. It seems to need turned 45` anti clockwise when seen from the rear so the bit for the starter that sticks out from the bellhousing doesn't foul the bodywork in the transmission tunnel. Progress at last. If you need something done quickly just ask a busy woman then get the f"k out of her way.
Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!L'ill white leafer is FOUR wheel drive again....sooner than 3.....
Went up the workshop today with DavetheRave and fixed the brake lines on the Landy (cheers bud for borrowing the stuff from your work and ya help) and repaired the broken CV joint on the OSF corner of the li'll white leafer!!! Top ball joint didnt wanna come undone....but oxy-propane, a ball joint splitter and me beating it with the biggest hammer I could find left it no option but to give up and separate! CV cup had split on the old cv joint, and the cage and bearings had ground themselves into tiny pieces!! Did a ball joint flip on that O/s while it was apart, so it will come apart easier next time (and there will be a next time!)... Job well done.... Thought about welding up the rear diff...but time was pushing on so left it for another day...maybe! Paul (mapracing) payed a flying visit to drop back my trailer and gave some morale support and encouragement to do silly stuff...you bad man! Landy is starting to look good now...just got to paint the roof now the brakes are done and I can get the wheels back on and have it movable again... in hi-build ![]() ![]() ![]() and now going back together after painting... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Check out the index thread below where pics/reviews from all our past meets can be found!!!!
click here for the SE Events Index/links Thread...see all the reviews and whats coming up soon! Looks like I'm in trouble with the Mrs's again... She asked me what I'd most like to do to her body... Apparently "Identify it" is not the correct answer! MAKE IT or BREAK IT! TEAMXTREME4X4 ![]()
Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Right Frenchie, the gearbox has to be turned to refit if your body isn't lifted I

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Put the gearbox back on.
Is 2 and a bit years the longest clutch/DMF repair ever? If you need something done quickly just ask a busy woman then get the f"k out of her way.
Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!took my viscous fan off today ready for a new one to come, broke 2 viscous spanners(draper crap) doing it so got 2 36mm open ended spanners with one end cut off and slid 2ft poles over them, didnt argue with that
