well today and yestrday, heres the list of things done

hid conversion, 2 sets of spots in grill and all wired up, fogs wired up to high beam, taxed the truck, egr valves blanked off, caravan electrics wired (black and grey plug) speedo cable replaced, led sidelights fitted, radio fitted, and took it for a good run to clear all the crap out of exhaust,

removed and refitted rear silencer after finding that VX in thier wisdom decided to change design after beginning of model year and having to return one i bought for £14 and then finding out that only VX do the one for mine everyone else only does newer one, then put new pads on front finding stick caliper on drivers side tried to free off but to no avail so looks like new one needed as pads still rattle

Well today ive finished the backend of Draco and now ive got to remove the side steps put on new exhaust box, bought from Germany for £28.99 +£11 delivery and its bloody good quality. I went to our local exhaust place and he quoted me £80+vat said no ta!!! Got tighten the steering up aswell. Then back in for MOT.

Adjusted the alternator pulley (superb design on the 2.8 ) but did manage to split a nail
Took some rubbish to the tip, windows down (Yorkshire air con) listening to Metallica
Next job, need to find a rubber o ring for the amber roof light, and seal the loom hole in the roof with silicon.

im going to fit some new spots as a friend welded me a light bar an i got new ring spots arrived today of ebay £20

Just spent a small fortune on a complete A/C setup to replace the missing parts in mine.
Also spending a small fortune on a complete lightbar setup too.

...and it repays me by bending the rear door support bar 10 minutes ago.


But! It's all worth it in the end

took the dogs to the groomers went to pick then up 3 1/2 hours later just back to get changed clothes and car for SWB for work then followed a mile que of traffic following someone on a push bike,got to work and i'm now deciding indians on the way home or not?

Well today had 2 jobs to both should have been easy but naturally they wernt.

1st job adjust the stearing box.
Locking nut loosened easily but the slot was mashed. Couldn't get the top come away from the rest so with a little persistance I managed to loosen the adjusting screw. Screwed down bit by bit till all play was taken up. Glad it stopped there as there don't seem to be anymore adjustment left in the screw it wouldn't budge anymore so nipped the lock nut and put it back to gether.

2nd job adjusting the handbrake.
Jacked the rear up and slid under the offside. Oil all over so took the wheel of suspecting brake caliper leaking. Removed the caliper and the piston is dry as a bone, tooke the disc off to find the handbrake don't work on that side due oil, the half shaft seal has gone and leaking gear oil onto the brake shoes. Cleaned them up and refitted, adjusted the other side and took up all slack on the handbrake. 3 clicks on the handbrake and she ain't moving.

Result till next week when I do the half shaft oil seal.
