Well this weekend i got brave and did my manifold gasket,and it was shocking
Most of the bolts was loose,and the gasket was not sealed,so i am so chuffed with my self i have not done a gasket for about 10 years, and i really enjoyed my self doing it
I also sealed my door trim as water comes in

I for got to say,i gave her a test run all fine till i pulled on the drive.
I pulled the hand brake on and it goes up 7 clicks,and she still rolls forward i was so mad,i only just adjusted the bas****ted thing two weeks ago to 5 clicks.

took radiator off and washed all the bala grot out of it,tried drifts trick of running water through the alternater to see if that helps the no charging i've had since bala (probably due to crud) but to no avail so it looks like getting it off and stripping it down, well get someone else to strip it down

Its stupid, you have to take out the whole center console out ,it taken me an hour and half last time to take it out
I am just going to put new pads on and cables,strip the lot i think

I did the new shoes and cable, handbrake went crap again within two months

I replaced the clutch master cylinder. The old one had developed a leak which was deteriorating the paintwork on the bulkhead. A bit of a fiddly job to get the new one in, but satisfying to have it done Changed to the summer tires, washed the truck, tidyed the garage and swept out all the leafes and sand accumulated through the winter.

Also found time to rip off the anti-tamper-cover-thing on the dieselpump power-adjuster and tweaked it up about 1/2 a turn. Seems to give me a few more psi of boost, the boost comes earlier and the engine has definately got more power and response. I like it!

You haven't seen a Mk.1 Trooper design then. They only stay adjusted for about an hour or so. In fact its lucky its just long enough to get you through an MOT. B*$£%rd things have a self adjuster in the calipers that self-unadjusts itself within the time it takes you to put the wheel back on. Then there is the cable itself that winds around the car several times giving it plenty of length to stretch no matter how taught you make it.

Reluctantly began to clean Bala's mud off ..gave up couldn't bring myself round to finishing it. so only one tiny little patch on the front wing and bonnet is done..Department of domestic & financial affairs is giving me grieve about it, might be getting my pocket money stopped if it's not clean by the time she gets home tonight.

The return pipe to the power steering resevoir decided to pop off in a fast sorner today. Brown adrenalin everywhere. Cut the pipe/ spliced it with some new and about 20 miles later it sprang a hole about an inch below the repair Somedays I like the look of a volvo....

Nothing to the truck.......BUT.......

Called in to see an old mate who has a pukka cnc machine shop....and spec'ed up 40mm wheel spacers and short shift kit for 2" and 4" body lifts, he's gonna price it all up for me and we could be all systems go....
Had a chat about the cross over steering components I am gonna need for the live axle swap in on the chevy and he's gonna make the bits I need when I get round to it...

He has got loads of really cool machines now (aint seen him for a year or so), and makes custom motorbike bits in the main and other production run stuff...I could spend weeks in there...

Another day and another bodged power steering pipe. Getting worried as the other end is crimped onto the metal pipe that runs under the rad, so if she carries on bursting under the repair I may need a new pipe

Cant believe the return pipe carries that much pressure, you can see the pipe flex as it comes under load.

Removed rear diff pan, flange was well bent, couple of wallops with a hammer and then refitted and jobs a good un

At least it wasn't rusty
