Well finally got the nerve up to replace the "little sucker" (vacuum pipe leading from the back of the vacuum pump)

Not what you want to see.jpg

Some how I think it was about time it was replaced

No wonder I was down on vacuum pressure

Well yesterday I got my new mud tyres fitted, then today I removed the spare wheel carrier, replaced my radiator (burst while I was in some woods with no other trucks out) and stuck a sticker on the back :D

Installed a navigators map light to the windscreen pillar - then got confused in wiring it up - will have another go tomorrow.

Also, finally removed the manual brake bias thingy, unseized it, cleaned and painted it ready for re-installation tomorrow (if the hameright dries overnight).

Adjusted the rear calipers so the handbrake will now hold the car when you lean on the back ... stupid design that requires you to tweak it every 2 seconds as it self un-adjusts with the wind, meaning the handbrake is nothing more than something to lean your knee against when your driving.

Swapped the lower shock bushes for nice new poly ones ... ride is noticebly firmer ... took me ages to get the bleeding rubber bits out of them as they were glued in.

Repaired the front passenger door lock as it wasn't opening on the central locking. Was pleasantly surprised to find the motor part wasn't a sealed unit and opened it to find dirty contacts and gummed up, so gave everything a good clean and greased it a little. Works a treat now.

I have told my mum she can use my fronty as her car off the road. This should be intresting my mum drive`s like a stock car racer and is a wee 5ft thing with major road issues. She believes bumpers are parking aids thats why the fit them maybe i should not of removed the soft nudge bar i only have bumper on the front now :( She is either going to love driving it or hate it think she collects it tonight or tommorow i shall miss it
