Went to change the lower shock bushes for some nice new poly ones, but couldn't make anything out due to 3" of mud and straw coating everything from last weekends play in some mud. Spent an hour jet washing it all down and then gave up till tomorrow due to being soaked to the skin and covered in filth.

Well, fully armed with grinder, WD40, wire brush and lots of extra knowledge from friday I now have two new milner rear leaf springs fitted and looking lovely...and this side only took me 2hrs including cleaning up afterwards :D Took the opportunity to wind up the front torsion bars at the same time as the truck was lurching forwards rather a lot, and leaning to one side by just over an inch.

Really pleased with the stilt-like results, piccies to follow, though do now have even more of a camber issue (question posed in suspension topic).

Moved a caravan on sunday. Taking it in to get the tracking done tomorrow afternoon.

Other then that... Nothing. Hardly driven the old girl at all since getting the new car.

I did buy her some tax and insurance just to keep her happy :D

Got a cracking deal on a fully comp policy. £147 for 5000 miles a year. Limited use and agreed value. Spot on for laning and the occasional weekend away :D :D :D
I also drink Port and I'm not ashamed to say it!

Refurbished the wheels as they were off whilst fixing the suspension - wire brush on teh drill to get rid of all the old flaky laquer, rubbed them down then primed and sprayed them. Pretty pleased with the result, especially as it cost me less than 7 quid and I have enough stuff left over to do the whole lot again when it starts looking shabby :D

Never heard of a three wheel alignment machine before. Just get that Jockey wheel straight beforehand.

:D :D :D Took the truck in for tracking. Poor Grammar ;-)

Got the tracking done today. Straight as an arrow again.
While the tracking was being done I nipped round the corner to the local engineering shop where Iv made a friend of the owner who has said I can pop round any time to make bits if I need them so I made these up:
Image

Which are for extending the Drop Links:
Image

Only managed the front today as its been a long day and my garage looks like A friend's at the moment so I cant find anything.
Originals were 7" end to end. Extended they measure 9.25" end to end.

I put a set of normal wheels on to get the tracking done as with the muds the gauge is at its limit.

How ridiculous does that look!
