I had two stretch CV boots to fit, I spent longer trying to get the bloody things over the cone.....impossible
So I did it the old fashioned way after a couple of phone calls to find a silly wire clip on the CV that was buried in grease
Well everything went that well I think Ill do the other side next week :D
I hate all that flippin grease though

Sounds like fun... Got one of them to do myself, I think. Must get it out the way before Bala...

Removed steering colum on the blue fronty so as to fit the good colum from the fronty i'm breaking only to find the A-series face lift models used a shorter colum so that stuffed that idea. So i learnt one thing today and that is the facelift A-series colums will not fit on the pre facelift fronties...Hmmm :x

Uh Oh... It may have been me that convinced you they would  Strange as for all A series (facelift and pre facelift) there are only 2 part numbers, tilt and non tilt :?
I also drink Port and I'm not ashamed to say it!

Well, not really to my Truck - but closely related.

I did a nifty update to my garage door opener :-D I have a tiny garage with an automatic garage door opener. Yesterday I managed to connect an extra main control unit for my remote central locking system for the truck, to the garage door opener. So now I can open the garage door and the car with the same key- FOB. I'm using the button for the boot release to open the garage door. So now It's down to one donglething for both car and garage - nice

I did nothing to the car except investigate further on why it is burning all my oil away. It seemed so much more interesting fiddling with the electronics than heading into the engine bay. Using oil is usually not a good sign for an old motor, so I'm kind of dreading that task... :(

Well i refitted the steering colum as a get me out of trouble fix for now untill i can get hold of another colum which will fit. Also had to swap over my door latch assemblies from the fronty i'm breaking due to my sometimes not being able to get out of the car coz of the central locking sticking on the drivers door...Sorted :D

I went a bit posh and did it in black leather to match the interior pannels
