GTE dash has now been removed in favour of an original Fronty analogue dash due to the inaccurate speed reading.
The K&N induction kit has been changed back to the original GM air box in preparation for a snorkel to be fitted.
And I fitted a new alternator (just because I had a new one sitting here gathering dust)

Tomorrows jobs, are to fix the autohubs, wash & wax, and change the wheels so I'm back on road tyres rather than muddys

How inaccurate mate?? Cos, if you're thinking of getting rid, I'd be interested, hehe...

Went to Wales,it was strangely sunny & very little traffic made for a pleasant journey, got to Roo`ss had a cuppa then pulled her dead alternator off went to fit the replacement, couldn`t as it is the wrong part :oh yer: went past sir doris house but did not stop due to a lack of cars outside so brought the Fogexpress parts home again :oh yer: so all things considered not the most productive day

where do i start, fail sheet in hand tackle the problems as i went along, firstly a huge can of plus gas and soak everything i know im going to undo.

jacked front end up secured with axle stands, took front wheels off and totally stripped down brakes to clean 'contamination' (grease in this case) plenty of brake & clutch cleaner, panel wipe and the grease is gone, bad news is there is the start of a runble off the nearside front hub, might need some info on this.

brake pipes i replaced at the weekend were leaking at the rear unions, its bloody hard to flare brake pipes in a confined area!!, but with much swearing and cut hands later i think its just about done, while under the rear end stripped and cleaned the load level sensor and connecting bar. the with the trusty foot of mrs dodge bled the load level sensor, then the rear brakes. holds good pressure and hopefully (fingers crossed) all problems to do with braking should be overcome.

onto the lights (aim to high) removed the grill. and the headlights moved alot on their own, all four holding clips at the bottom of the light units broken (2 each side) quick trip to vauxhall and parts on order..........bloody expensive (20 pence each) pick them up tomorrow, so after a little test of everything time to book a re-test especially as insurance docs came today so i can tax the beast.

and finally wired in the bluetooth head unit, so i can talk legally on the blower!!!!

knackered now, not bad for a monday............

i was a good boy, i dumped £40 worth of fuel down the road,

i could smell fuel. but thought it was the car in front, only because the idiot took of, top of the road looked back and could see a stream following me, looked at my gauge and it was at the bottom of the red, with the fuel light glowing, lol,

got it to the house before she ran out completely, oped the bonnet and the main fuel line to the rail had split,

Nice one mate let me no how it goes   :drink:

.
I thought the rumble was down to the brake pads but now you have sorted them i would say wheel bearing :( Sorry mate
As there is no play in the wheel as this would have got picked up in the mot i would say the bearing may just have run dry
It might just need abit grease in there  If you have no joy sorting it pop it round the weekend and we can take the hub off and take a look at the bearing as its really easy to take apart
