Hi, my name is Paul and i live in Warrington in the North West of England (well someone has to ) Anyway ive just found the forum and joined up. I haven't got a Frontera yet but ive more or less decided that it will be my next car. Im not really into cars as im a classic bike fan and cars to me are just a tool to do a job and get me back and to from work. Ive decided on the Frontera as we have a caravan to drag around and two dogs as well. The Frontera seems to fulfill my requirements without breaking the bank. I was thinking of a Disco but having only around 4K to spend and looking at a few Disco's they seem to be pretty rough in that price range. My present car a 95 Renault Espace 2.1 TD has been a superbly reliable economical car and while it struggles up some of the bigger hill with the caravan it performs pretty well. But the old Espace is getting past its best now so its time to let the old girl go and move on. I will be posting lots of silly questions about the Frontera in the near future so please bear with me. Cheers, PaulD

Welcome matey, and dont worry about the silly questions...I am sure they will be less silly than most of my posts... What fronty are you thinking of buying??? You will get some honest opinions on here that might help your decision... Me, I'm not much help with later ones, unless you want crazy mods, more into the cheaper earlier ones that I can cut up and get crazy without the misses moaning...she would be upset if it was a £4k car.... Catch you around mate... Gregster

Good luck with your search for a Fronty It took me 9 months to find the car of my dreams Found mine on this site here - this is london motors.co.uk - it covers big chunks of the UK ATB
My Fronty thinks its a grown-up Tonka Toy [how sad is that] ? Concorde with Frontera View Here In the interests of the environment, this posting was constructed entirely from recycled electrons.

Hi and welcome to FOG.
at last a new north west member...
there is no such thing as a silly question, there are just questions that you don't know the answer to.
have a good read around the forums, and you will get an idea of any potential problems associated with certain models. But you will also notice that with the power of FOG 99.99% of the problems get sorted out.
If in doubt ask, If you need someone to come along and look at a motor then ask if someone is free they may come along and help.
(the chap I bought mine off bought a green meenie to replace it, now he wants the fronty back. says it's an easier truck to live with and loads more fun..so you are making the right decision by getting a fronty)
The greatest lesson in life is to know that even us idiots are right sometimes
