Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!well today ive fitted a cd player, and as my fuel guage was not working i thought i may as well have a crack at doing that to did all the usual checks made sure the guage itself was working and checking the wiring was not shorting etc in the end i had to remove the tank,to have a look at the sender unit the little wire on the unit has snapped off, a visit from the chap over the road with his soldering gun soon had it fixed

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Odds n sods
Put the old steering lock back on now I've found the keys Spent ages rummaging in the shed for some ally plate to make a mounting bracket for the Trooper hand throttle only to discover it fits perfectly in the hole where the headlamp adjuster switch normally sits, not any more tho its been evicted And cleaned off all the underseal from the fuel tank cradle, chopped off the mounting brackets ready to mount it higher up in the chassis out of the way Soon to be without a Frontera after 10 years of owning one
Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Not so much of What I did ,but What the truck did today..
![]() now it's not a genrally a great event, but this is the first time I've had a car get over the 100,000 mark in my hands...the others either were already there or just didn't have the ability to get there. (Strangely now I'm sure i can smell a faint presence of petrol, but I can't find any leaks...I think that I might just be getting a little 100,000mile paranoia.) note to self......must clean fag ash of dash The greatest lesson in life is to know that even us idiots are right sometimes

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Spent ages making new wheel arch extensions from some 6mm rubber stable matting to cover the sticky out wheels seeing as I got a defective vehicle ticket from the local plod. Booked in tomorrow to get the ticket stamped at the local MOT garage. Generally a good day until it started to rain

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Liking the look of the Rock Sliders Yakatar
Hmmm... Lemme see... Had the ticket stamped at the MOT place regarding my sticky out wheels, The garage owner said it would have passed an MOT as it was without the extensions. Oh well, they are on now. Read the fault codes, there were quite a few of them so its going to be another process of elimination. Likely culprits are camshaft sensor and airflow meter. Thankfully I have spares. Waxoiled the sills, with a brush and some of Drifts leftover waxoil in a tin.
