found this forum while i was searchin for some spare parts.I got my frontera in september08 after my polo got rear ended an the insurance made a very reasonable offer! Never had a 4X4 before but,always wanted one due to spendin some time as a nipper in the u.s in the 1970's.while lookin through the auto trader i saw her,never thought i'd afford the insurance but, i gave them the details anyway...HOLY FLIP!! so a 2ltr 4X4 is cheaper than a 1ltr vw polo??? needless to say...i bought the truck, now the very proud owner of a blue 1997 2ltr sport
After 8months i can honestly say i will NEVER go back to a car!
havent done any proper off road yet,mostly load my bikes an shovels in the back an head into the woods lookin for places to build mtb trails. also good for muddy grassy off camber car parks at 4X races. i FULLY intend to have some off road lessons at my local offroad centre (wildtracks, chippenham, suffolk) just a matter of some spare cash an finding/fitting a recon diff cos mines now making that whirrrrrring noise,had the hole sealed up an re-lubed but,,,,its knackerd.need a nu'un ba as they say roun my way.
glad i found this forum an lookin forward to chattin an some new buds,definatly plan on comin to some meets
