Sorry for the slow reply Drift, the Aircraft next to the Concorde is a old Viking passenger aircraft. it is similar to a Wellington Bomber in construction, its a passenger version of the Wellington.

First flew in August 1946

Not too great on that one, the Concorde is My thing if you ask me about that one I know a bit more.

Regards

Concorde test aircraft is @ Yeovil aircraft museum it does resemble a freight carrier inside and has a viewing system so you can see underneath from inside, apparantly test crew had to wear pressure suits, and this ones fitted with escape hatches "just in case"

we miss Concorde down here, it used to come up the Bristol channel every evening @ 18:00 (supersonic - we would hear the boom boom) and again @ about 21:15....but at least the windows dont rattle anymore and frighten the dog. Strange thing is BA/Air France always denied Concorde came in @ that kind of speed, but every evening, same times, same track across the sky.....coincidence?

Hi Hawk

the Concorde in the pictures is G-BBDG or Delta Golf as she is affectionately known.

Her home is the Brooklands Museum in Weybridge Surrey. I help out there, and was involved in getting Delta Golf up to a standard so that she could be opened up to the public for tours.

If anybody from the FOG ever wants to be shown round the aircraft or visit the Museum send me a PM and I would be happy to meet up :)

Regards
