Hello!Hello! My name's Paul, and I live in Manchester. Our Suzuki Vitara finally fell to pieces recently, and was deemed as unrepairable on it's MOT due to chassis rot. We travelled around looking for a replacement, and stumbled across a 98, 2.0 Sport S. It's done 72,000 miles and looks quite tidy.
So, we put a deposit down, and after the garage has replaced the exhaust for us, we should be picking it up over the next couple of days! Now having dabbled in off-roading previously (NOT in the Vitara! I've had several Jeeps/Land Rovers), can I ask what type of tyres I could be pricing? The missus says that I'm not allowed to go off-roading as it's hers, but we all know what that means! It will only be used to take her to work locally in general. Anyway, I hope to speak to you all soon!

Re: Hello!Hi and Welcome to the club!
I would reccoment BFG AT's as a general all purpose tyre. Expensive at between £80 - £100 a corner but a lot of places like kwik fit or ATS will offer you a discount if you buy 4 or more.I have had mine for 2 years and clocked up about 25,000 miles on em with a fair bit of laning and they have hardly worn at all. They handle as well as a road tyre on road, last for ages, relatively quiet on road and decent off road and very hard wearing.

Re: Hello!Well we picked her up yesterday after the dealer changed the exhaust system for me. I'm quite impressed, there's a fair amount of noise from the roof, but my daughter said one of the retainers isn't clicked into place so I'll have to take a look at that.
I also have to change the front indicatore covers as they're a little grimy. Other than that it's fine. By the way, is the 4wd on the Frontera full time, or does it lock the diffs? As for tyres, I used to have BFG ATs on my Cherokee, so I know how nice they are Thanks very much, I'll post some pictures ASAP.
Re: Hello!frontera's are "selectable" and are rear wheel drive whilst in 2wd
theres no central diff ....and no diff locks saying that ..you'd be suprised where we take them
