Good news folks. I have just recieved this email from Rockingham raceway.

The date is confirmed as Sunday 28th September 2008 so you can all go to your bosses and book, beg, borrow or throw a sicky for the time off.

Now it is all systems go and time to start organising things like accomodation, sposorship and publicity.

I am expecting my inbox to be red hot over the next few weeks so please pm me as to wether you are or are not deffinately coming.

I will be finding more out about any costs involved asap and will let you all know duly.

is this going to be just the "lunch hour" meet .....is ther nowhere we can go afterwards (if we wanted)

we will be there for the full day's racing. We obviously will have to pay the entrance fee but I am negotiating a discount for FOG members

that is the family that is FOG

I have thought of my own special way of contributing that involves a lot of wax, sadists and a video camera

The only condition is that it is performed in a circle of Frontys and for FOG members only! (although some may pay not to see it!)

This is obviously dependent on me getting to Rockingham but it seem that may not be a problem

I would like it to be. Billing Aquadrome is just down the road and has over 600 pitches and loads to do so peolpe could come on Saturday morning, pitch up, have a good days banter, few sherberts, barbie and then we're only just down the road from Rockingham so no megga early start for people coming from afar. Plus it gives us time to do last minute checks on the trucks, ie, cleaning up oil leaks, any livery added, and final details/organising rather than all being hurried on the Sunday. What do you think?

i don't know if it has ....

but if it does not is there any where not too far from there we all could go to have a play ????

Great news Ian. I plan to be there on the day at least, the only thing that will stop me is the Fronty itself. If I can get there the day before I will do that as well, will give me chance to get the car cleaned and looking the part for the display.

As for the "play" thing, it may be wise to get the GWR done first. Trucks dont always complete play days.... know what I mean and we need all the Frontys we can get.

Rockingham itself has a 4x4 course.

Carl, I think you are misunderstanding me mate. We will be at Rockingham all day not just for the lunch hour. It's just that we have use of the track in the lunch hour. The rest of the day is the "Dunlop Festival of Motorsport"

would we be able to use Rockingham's 4x4 course after all the racing or after we have done the lunch time run ????

Have had a look at the Rockingham, Website. Its worth a look for all who intend going....(You can get your tickets online if you like.)

If anyone from the Lancashire area is going down maybe we an get a convoy going
