SE picnic in the mud/woods...sunday 6th december 2009

Postby gregster on Mon Aug 31, 2009 12:14 pm

Wotcha foggers....

Pleased to announce our third meet at the woods on sunday the 6th december 2009, now every 6 weeks by popular demand....
will be great to see as many of you there as possible as a fun day!

Details below...

Sunday 6th December....Picnic in the woods
£20 per car on the day, 9am start meet at Notcutts again and then go there together.(if you cant make it till later then pm me and I will give you my mob number to call, so someone can go and meet you nearby and bring you to the site.)

I do not have liability insurance to organise offroad events so I am not organising one, so you are being invited to attend a picnic in these woods,
the rules of which are as follows....

Litter will be taken home...
No open fires...
No irresponsible behaviour which is deemed (by the landowner, by me or someone assigned by me), a hazard to anyone (yourself &/or others)...
10mph speed limit on site for safety reasons...
5 mph speed limit through farm yard and past horses in fields...
No loud stereos, or noisy behaviour near the farm or animals...
No driving in the woods or offroading of any kind...
No entering prohibited areas as determined by the landowner and me...
No cutting of trees or wood without my permission...
Cash up front on the day...£20 per car, irrespective of how many people in it...
FOG members and family only, unless I have agreed it prior to the event...

These are the rules...only attend if you accept them, you will be required to sign prior to entrance that you agree.

Should anyone choose to venture into the woods in their vehicle, I have clearly told you not to and hence will not be held responsible for any injury/damage or loss whatsoever as you are in breach of the rules of the picnic...

Confidentiality..

The location of this site will not be posted on FOG as we dont want anyone else browsing the forum knowing its whereabouts, as they will spoil it and we will lose it.
Anyone posting location details on here will not be invited to future events, and I will ask admin to edit their posts to remove the location details.
Anyone attending these events is politely asked not to divulge to location to any other groups or individuals and keep it to themselves.

Sorry but now weve got the place, I dont wanna risk loosing it due to the actions of other less responsible 4x4 owners.

Please add your name to the list below if you are going to join us on the 13th...and remember your wellies!!

See ya soon

I know the location is not to be advertised and it is in the SE, approx how many miles from say the Severn Bridge is it :?:

Just to give me an idea of how long to get there and how much in juice it would cost me if I came along :?:

new tyres or not - i'll be there - even if its just to take pikkies of the carnage

Has anyone - or is anyone producing a list of requirements for the picnic? There was loads last timeand Sal & Mel came out with a good idea - it might be an idea to post up a list of things to bring and whoevers going can put a name against it eg (Heater for Sal and a nice warm coat) 24 burgers, 3 pack of sausages, burger buns, tomato sauce, onions, bottle of veg oil, salad, teabags, milk, sugar, chicken bits, tarp's for cover (just in case) etc... shouldnt be more than a couple of quid each? any objections?

John... Looking forward to it already!!

Even tyre companies have to be equal opportunity employers these days!!!

Obviously not that Knowledgeable though....or would have almost "Gregster" like knowledge

Make sure when he pumps em up the valve is at the bottom over the flat bit, or it will distort the tyres!!!
(one of my drivers fell for this once...after I reprimanded him for nearly damaging company property, he repositioned his truck so the valve was over the flat bit at the bottom of the tyre, so it blew that bit up and didnt over inflate the bit at the top which wasnt flat!   I used to be soooooo cruel!! but he was so gullible he deserved it!)
