I have a spanner-related favour to ask though - Sophie's failed her MOT on a duff lower balljoint, and I've never done one before so if I order up the parts and bring my toolkit, would I be able to lean on somebody fore a spot of supervision in case I get stuck changing them up the woods??

They are straight forward enough to do with basic tools, just make sure you have a good set of ball joint splitters, I've broken 3 sets as most were not up-to the job. 24mm jaws would be best on them and a lump hammer

Have done 3 lower ball joints on my 2.4 over the years! :evil:

And now have 2 to do on the 2.8 for the mot in 2 weeks! :axe:

So I will be happy to lend you Fudge to assist! :drink:

Well my home made ball splinter is in my boot

just need foggy to bring his sledge
and i will be happy to supervise Mr Pete and Dan doing it
