I don't particularly have a problem with it.
As long as she's covered by insurance to drive your vehicle then it's not likely to be a problem. :)

(ie it's up to you to make sure your insurance covers your vehicle) :D

And i'll be getting busy with a socket set in fairly short order...
Cleaned the tank and thought "I know, I'll take the tow ball off and put it away nicely" only to discover some muffin of a previous owner has welded it in place...

More fool me for not noticing before, does nothing for my departure angles, hehe... Time to remove the whole thing and get it sorted I feel...

Troglodite,

I wouldn't worry too much about tyres.. you can have anything from road tyres to full on mud tyres and almost anything will do..
I would suggest that if your going to get new tyres on your vehicle you look at something in the more chunky AT range really..

Otherwise don't worry a great deal, if you get stuck we'll just pull ya out ;)

Rick,

Coming off nights in the morning, do you want a hand? I'll pop up for a couple of days if you like?

Latest update.

Due to costs involved there will NOT be food provided for Saturday night camping..

I will however be taking along a BBQ or two, so if you want to cook something then it's quite easy, pack a few sausages or steaks frozen in the back of the Fronty in the morning, or make an afternoon trip to the supermarket and you'll be welcome to cook them up.

If you are camping and you want to arrange for some food collection in the afternoon then YOU will need to let me know in the morning on Saturday. That way I can make sure you have opportunity to get something. Or alternatively I can make sure you have a cool box to put your meat in...

I will be ordering some kangaroo meat for myself... :) (guaranteed free of bird flu!) ;)

Still after another marshall or so. Preferrably with a winch, or lots of tow ropes! Someone with laning experience is preferred. AND you will need a navigator!!

As the food will NOT be provided for Saturday night I don't need exact numbers of people who will be camping as you'll need to provide your own food...

This means that I will be slightly adjusting the cost figures and I will repost those when I get around to it... but I am still to settle on the exact figure as I have some other costs which must be met.

All people who will be driving on the Sunday will need to be listed on the day and paid up...

Just for anyone who's remotely interested, any money left over from this event once all costs are covered will be being donated back to FOG to assist with the costs in running this (our favourite) forum... :D

Si... I'd say stick me down for a YES for next weekend, heh.... What day / time you got in mind???

The sis is moving house, sounds like an excellent get-out clause to me, hehe...

Ta for the update incidentally... No biggie to have to bring your own nosh, least then you get what you like to eat. I'd offer as marshal, but as I'm a total noob, that may not be a particularly wise idea, hehe..

Doesn't matter mate, most of the laners will be camping as well, so it's not like you'll be on your own ;)

I've replied to your PM as well, consider yourself on reserve list.. :)
