Wotcher folks, Your friendly irritating Area rep here again I've been plotting and planning a little after the last event, and gave come up with a couple of ideas. Firstly, I'm intending on doing another greenlaning day in January, similar sort of vein to the last one, although hopefully with some more local faces I'll not be filing it as a Southampton meet, as I'd like to see folks from all over the area along, plus planning on starting from the Basingstoke area kindof makes a mockery of that. Everyone's welcome, and the run can be tailored to fit experience and whether folks mind a few tree scratches, etc... Secondly, and this is something I've been wanting to do for a while, is the Salisbury Plains. Plenty of fun to be had there, and with enough interest (and shuffling of calendars) could easily be made into an overnight affair somewhere. MY first ideas for dates, are the end of March, beginning of April, so hopefully the weather will be on our side, plus that should give interested parties time to prepare / recover from Greg's weekender, etc... So come on the folks, who fancies it?? Or are we going to let the SE lot show us up for having fun??? Updates to follow, Jim

That's what I like to see.. Plenty of interest, and so soon after I posted the thread, too Keep checking for further updates guys, I don't own a 4x4 for it to be sat on the drive, so I plan to have plenty going on. I'll consult as regards who can do what dates, etc as things firm up. Anybody else?????

Jim - Are you allowing an invasion from the east side on this one? Enjoyed your playground on last outing and will also quite fancy a run out on Salisbury plain. Pedro

Greg - Have you had a look on youtube at Water Lane - part of Jimbo land playground. Reckon that's where you've get me on the pulling out score board. Also I'll promise to have a go at the famous uphill runs on the 6th.

Sounds good to me, count me in if the date is right.
It was once said that the Devil would never dare to cross the River Tamar into Cornwall for fear of ending up as a filling in a Cornish Pasty.
