had my frontera one day and broke it already!

Hi every one, I have just bought my 1st frontera its a long wheel base 2.2 16v diesel w reg 2000. I needed a decent vehicle for the family and for towing our caravan. I also have two old land rovers. A 1962 lwb and a 1964 swb but I was persuaded that we ought to buy a posh car!
I tried the 4wd button on the dash and it engaged fine but it will not dis-engage and just blows the fuse (which also takes out the intermittant wipe and radio screen). My local vauxhall dealer in Cardiff has had it for a week but can't fix it.-or can't be bothered. so I wondered if any of you knowledgeable chaps or chapesses would have any Ideas.

Sorry to ask a question on my 1st visit to the forum but at the moment I am still driving the 43 year land rover with the Frontera looking pretty on the drive like an expensive ornament!

Welcome to the forum Mike - sorry to hear of your problem.

Whilst I'm not familiar with the B series actuation of 4x4, I'm sure someone will be along shortly to point us in the right direction.

Series 3 for me, currently with a Perkins 4236 diesel. About to change to a Transit 2.5 Diesel with a five speed disco gearbox.
