Frontera Technical Support

Hi everyone! I've been meaning to register on here for ages and finally got my finger out! :lol:

I have a 01 Frontera 2.2DTi (Y22DTH) with 170k miles on it. I have it since Christmas 2012 so it's nearing its 1st birthday with me now. I had been looking for the 'right' one for ages and finally I stumbled across this one.

It has full leather, Elec. sunroof, elec. windows, trip computer and a few Opel accessories like the dog guard and nudge bar.

I've had my fair share of trouble with it over the past few months but it has been worth it.

I also managed to find a second one for parts! :roll:

This was worth its weight in gold as I got the drivers side running board off of it and the front section of the exhaust too as the one on the 01 broke recently. I also sold a few bits off it to a mate of mine too so it has been keeping 2 other Fronteras going! :dance:

Anyway, that's my story. I'm off to snoop around the forum now! :wave:

hi and welcome . where abouts in Tipp are you ? i used to live just outside Carrick on Suir many years ago , keep meaning to go back for a holiday but time and money always get the better of me

Thanks for the welcome everyone! I have to say, the website is an absolute mine of information! It really is a great resource for all Frontera owners and has made maintaining my Frontera so much easier over the last few months.

@Carlisletiger - I'm working in Clonmel, which isn't too far from Carrick-on-Suir but I live between Nenagh and Thurles. It's nice down there around the Comeragh Mountains. Apparently there are some nice trails for off-roading down there. One of the guys I work with goes up there every now and again with his Defender. I wouldn't get very far with the Frontera with it's road tyres though! :-D

I plan to fit some 245/75r16 all terrains in the near future and hopefully a snorkel just beef up its appearance. :-)
