Hi all

My name is Adrien, I'm French, 30yo and been living in London for the last 6 years working as a Project Manager in IT related fields/environments. :D

I've always loved mechanics, bikes&cars... I own a VW Polo from 96 (my first car :D ) but it's in France and needs fixing at the mo (gear box, starter motor, alternator, interieur, body work etc.) so will be doing this over the winter/spring hopefully. My current & only ride in the UK is a 1998 Yamaha 850TRX with which I had an accident last year sadly, was declared cat C but I kept it and rebuilt it to a roadworthy state... I am a bit sentimental with my rides it seems  . I've always liked the Frontera so thought now's the time to fulfill the dream of owning one, hopefully, so here I am. Will be more of a looker here than a giver RE info etc. so hope you won't mind

I'm after a LWB diesel A series, ideally a 2.5 or 2.8 as I hear they are the best options over the 2.3 but there aren't many around sadly :( There's quite a few B series 2.2dti but I prefer my old school simple mechanics and rougher looks of the A and not sure what the 2.2dti is worth in terms of reliability, easyness of fixing things etc. I will post in the search section, let me know if you have or know of one for sale in the South East

See you guys around this place

Your post is there now

I might have a 2.8lwb coming up for sale in the next couple of weeks...its black, will have a fresh years MOT, taxed for a few months, good tyres and its in Kent so not too far away. It went for a pre-mot today, and there is a couple of little jobs that I need to do to get it spot on and ready for sale. Will let you know when its ready to go if you are interested.

Hey Gregster, thanks for the heads up, you've got a PM ;)

There's a 2.5tds on eBay at the moment with an oil leak at the rocker cover, common fault or early sign of bigger issues?

I would be more concerned as to why the sale didnt go through last time mate...at £500 which it sold for, it was cheap for a diesel 4x4 this time of year :?
Might be worth going and having a look at it, but I would never entertain buying a 2.5 without test driving it, something that he might not be up for seeing as it has no tax on it...
Its a rubbish listing though, why only do 3 pics when you get 12 FREE when doing a car listing...
