I stumbled across your site while researching Frontera's as my possible next car, what an informative site! I have now bought a 1996 Frontera Sport subject to my Mitsubishi Colt selling within 4 weeks on ebay. I might have paid a little over the odds at £800, but it only has 86k, T&T, and is generally very tidy.

I have driven very little off road, except for a few Landy 90's in the forces, but ride Trail bikes quite regularly, I have a DR350M I use every day and try to get dirty as much as possible.

Thanks for all the help I've found so far, I hope to stay around and maybe join some green lane drive outs if they occur near me. Anyone really wanting to help can search for an auto Colt on ebay (in green) and make me an offer so I can give the guy the balance for the fronty!!!

I think price reflects the condition of tyres, exhaust, battery, discs etc. on Fronties these days. If all good you've struck an ok deal.

Hi everyone, yes, all the tyres have at least 5-7mm tread, underside corrosion is less than I expected and it started straight away from cold so I'm happy enough. Doesn't mean anything though if no one buys the Colt, only one call in a week!

We'll see.

TonyG, do you do many dirty miles in our locality? I expect Wales is the nearest and best place but inside knowledge is always best!
