i purchased a Frontera 2.2 dti Limited 2000 model about 2 months ago, needed a big bus to ferry the Doberman around in. had to sell my BMW 528 and an old S2a lwb landrover, as i am the only driver in the family with running costs going up made sense to own 1 car. i was a little Disappointed with the performance but coming from a 2.8 BM it was to be expected. After about 3 weeks the EM light started to come on and the motor went into limp home whilst giving it some revs. It took it into my local garage who told me it was the MAF, I replaced the MAF and it seamed to do the trick although still poor on performance. Then after a week the dreaded EM light was back and limp home was the only way to travel. So after reading loads of post’s here took the excellent advice of changing all the vac pipes, changed the fuel filter and cleaned the EGR valve. WOW what a difference, EM light off and the power is fantastic.fuel economy is excellent and it feels and drives like a totally different beast. So cheers guys you have made my weekend (anyone needing a MAF bosch # 0.281.002.184) give me a shout.
