Taking my Frontera to NZHas anybody done something similar before?
I am trying to find out whether my 2003 2.2DTi 5dr will conform with the regulations in NZ. I moved here in December and asked my brother to try and sell it. He has had no joy so I thought I would try and get him to send it here to me. I want to find out if it conforms with the emission tests here and the frontal impact standards. I have all the information on what those standards are here in NZ but I dont know if my car conforms. Any help is appreciated Thanks I emailed Vauxhall and got ...........No reply!
Re: Taking my Frontera to NZHiya mate welcome to FOG
Whilst i'm not sure weather your frontera conforms to the NZ regulations ...but i'm confident that someone will be able to give you some info regarding rules and regs i am sure your car will be ok though ..as it's registered in 2003 .so it will have to conform to the EU regs
Re: Taking my Frontera to NZThanks, I am sure that the EU regulations are as stringent as the NZ ones

Hope you manage to get it over safe n sound.
Re: Taking my Frontera to NZThanks for the replies everyone.
My brother is looking into it. Apparently we are able to find out from the VIN on the vehicle, and there is a plate in the engine compartment that says what standards(EU) that t complies with. Second hand cars are quite expensive over here and the 4x4 hasn't got the 'planet killer' label yet.
Re: Taking my Frontera to NZhope everything goes well with the transfers ..
are there many other frontera's (or the OZ version of it) over there ??
Re: Taking my Frontera to NZThere is a Holden Frontera here but I havent seen any of them. There s an Isuzu Wizard which looks exactly like the Frontera and there quite a few about. only the engine is different think.
Re: Taking my Frontera to NZyer the wizard is the same think it has the 3.1 trooper engine in it, all the frontera engines other than the 2.8tdi and 3.2 v6 you will only find in europe under the vx/opel banner, the rest of the world get the Isuzu monster engines and the v6 and 2.8tdi.
I think in NZ they depend on the 4x4 especially the south island and they get alot imported from Japan, cant you tell I nearly went to live their once Your a lucky chap Ste

Re: Taking my Frontera to NZstill trying to find out if my car will meet the import standards for NZ. According to my statement of compliance from Vauxhall, it meets Euro 3 n the Emission standards. I have read that all 2002 and later models meet Euro 4 standards; which is the standard it must reach to be able to be imported. Any ideas anyone
Re: Taking my Frontera to NZdont know about imports to NZ... but there is a more local forum you can chat with,
http://www.clubisuzu.com/index.html someone on there might be able to help u out....
