Re: G'day cobbers! Unique Aussie Frontera.A few folk will be wanting pics of the roof-tray if you get it.
You show us a cracking motor, then describe the trails you get to drive. Awaiting your next installment is like the Mrs and daughter desperate for the next episode of Neighbours. Kodiak Transglobe 2.0 SWB

Re: G'day cobbers! Unique Aussie Frontera.Haha well I could give you some spoilers for neighbours but I wouldn't want to ruin it for you! Or does it air at the same time? I've heard it's got a decent following over the pond. I'm working on roof racks first up, but I'm trying to stay away from the "door mount" ones, which were supposed to come with the car so if the guy falls through on it I'll explore a few other options. I'd like a tray just so I can mount a jerrycan of fuel, one of water, a little recovery gear and maybe two lights up top. I like sleeping in the back of my Fronty so I don't want to use up too much space inside, it's ingenious how the seats fold away and you get little pillows if you detach the headrests.
But yeah if I get out on sunday I'll be sure to take a few happy snaps of the sort of tracks we've got over here to play on. I'd post all this in the member's rides section but apparently there's no replies allowed on threads in there? Seems a bugger to trek back and forth between a build thread and a comments thread, although I'm probably being pedantic about it FLYING THE AUSSIE FLAG!

Re: G'day cobbers! Unique Aussie Frontera. Thanks again guys. Town I live in is called Nowra, it's about 3 hours South of Newcastle, and it's way out in the sticks, started out as a dairy farming town. Not a bad place to be.

Re: G'day cobbers! Unique Aussie Frontera.Goodday Blue (sorry mate, couldn't resist) and welcome - very nice looking motor
Going back to the winch - to advise, the packaged weight of a 12,000 lb winch with steel cable is 37kg (would be alot lighter with the rope option) - may be of use should you think about purchasing in the UK and need to obtain shipping costs.
Re: G'day cobbers! Unique Aussie Frontera. This has the potential of becoming one of, if not the longest FOG express jobs ever.

Re: G'day cobbers! Unique Aussie Frontera.Haha certainly could be a big trek! That's now even further down the rank, I have a somewhere between minor/bad crunching sound when I turn at any speed over about 20km/h now, hoping it isn't the dreaded CV joint, but leaning towards a swaybar bush. As forecast, went 4wding Sunday, and I'm 99% sure that's where it happened. I'll post an "oh god help" thread in the appropriate section, so if you have any clues as to what it could be, have a look.
Cheers from a slightly embarrassed Braedon. I'll post a picture of where we drove to so yo uguys get an idea of the landscape around here, I'm sure you'll be impressed! FLYING THE AUSSIE FLAG!

Re: G'day cobbers! Unique Aussie Frontera.you might wanna add a translation, as a sway bar is called an antiroll bar over this side of the water!

click here for the SE Events Index/links Thread...see all the reviews and whats coming up soon! Looks like I'm in trouble with the Mrs's again... She asked me what I'd most like to do to her body... Apparently "Identify it" is not the correct answer! MAKE IT or BREAK IT! TEAMXTREME4X4 ![]()
Re: G'day cobbers! Unique Aussie Frontera.Wasn't exactly sure where to post trip reports, but since this is really just to show you guys the sort of area I play in I figured it'd go well in my introductory thread. I went out alone about 25mins from town just to show the colour of the dirt in the area and decided I'd muck around in a little playground I discovered (obviously not trying to tackel anything too difiicult)
So here it is, a few shots of my truck posing and one going up a little hill. Doesn't really show the colours as I would have liked as it was later afternoon but enjoy the couple of pics we snagged! Posing on the hill. ![]() More posing ![]() Driving up a little hill ![]() Opposite shot of the same hill ![]() And finally this one is an old photo I found in one of my old man's albums, I thought it was awesome and showed the incredible sorts of weather we have around here. If his word is true, this is about an hour out of the town I live in over in a place called Yalwal which is now a ghostlike former gold mining town, and an amazing place for photography due to the ruined buildings and abandoned mines. Anyway, incredible phenomenon, don't know if you guys would have seen something like this before over in the UK. Check it out! ![]() FLYING THE AUSSIE FLAG!
