First check oil in diff and gearbox they have a thing with leaking diffs EP 90 in diff and engine oil in gearbox and transfer box if not too bad wine add Molly slip to diff should quiet it down  Sounds like a tractor But goes like a rocket - Poor mans auto parts.

I have a 1998 2.5 TDS Sport 3 door. I hope this helps and will check the oil levels as recommended. Kieron

Im not alone then, I too get whining from the NSF seat area, sometimes this can cause tinnitus and the whining noise can continue all day, and can recur at random times, without warning.

I get that on mine, strangly enough it also goes when the missus aint in the truck

I have checked all the tyre pressures and tread. Also checked for bulges in the side wall but all is fine. I am very sure now that it's coming from the rear diff. Buying gear oil and diff oil tomorrow and hopefully this will cure the whine.
