window problem's please help

I have a similar problem found its the quadrant has a tooth missing. take the door card off put your hand under the glass and press the up button whilst gently lifting the glass it should go up.
If its not the quadrant it may be the runner has broken away.

On my first fronty ('94 2.3) I had the same problem.
The window fell off of it's runner whilst in the down position.

Door card off, and found the rivets had sheared.

Easy fix, was pop the runner back in with some help from liquid metal.
It held and was still working when I sold the car over a year later.

Liquid metal Rocks!!!

Not a difficult job and could save you ££££'s rather than going to a garage.

I worked as a windscreen fitter for 12 years. this is a common problem. the 2 plastic lugs on the bottom of the glass are glued on and over time the glue releases especially if the glass wasn't cleaned and primed. take the doorcard off then take the vehicle into autoglass or someone like that and they will prime and glue them for next to nothing if anything at all.
It's not worth buying the primers and glue yourself as they are quite expensive and only have an open shelf life of one week.
