Hi there,

I'm Wijnand, located in the Netherlands and recently bought a Frotera B 3.2 V6 4x4 Automatic.
The cars body is in very good shape en the engine runs very smooth. But......

As i drove i home it was without a doubt that the automatic transmission was gone.....
And after some investigation it was a choice of compleet overhaul or a used one with less kilometers.
Fortunately I've stumbled over a crashed frontera with only 160k and bought the transmission.
First i drained the old trans and expected some 7 liters of ATF, instead there was only 3 liters what looked like black Greek Yoghurt!!
Flushed the cooling system with fresh ATF, Put the new one under with new filter and ATF.
Now it works fine lots off torque !!

However i have some questions! i will be posting in a different post.

Hopefully i will getting some answers !!

Hi and welcome wonder if low sludgey oil was all that was wrong with the original gear box

At 265K and lots of noises ,,,i don't think so.

I'm keeping it to take it apart when i have some more time.
