Hi All,

Registered last week when i collected my first 4x4 a 2.2DTi LWB Limited called The Hulk (Because its big and green :) )

First off a quick thank you, when i went to look at Hulk he was stuck in 4WD, did a quick google and thanks to here discovered that a vac pipe had popped off, haggled the guy down, drove round the corner, connected pipe and boom out it popped :)

So far so good, ABS light comes and goes (seems quite common) so i will need to have the wheels off and check the calipers and other ABS related components...

Would be interested in some light noobie laning around the Milton Keynes area so if anyone knows of anything other than Sandy Lane then please feel free to let me know...

Quick pic of The Hulk at Sandy Lane for you...

Hi Rob,

Cheers for that I will keep an eye out then :D

What the woods meet like terrain wise? I am fairly new to laning etc and dont have the money for any serious mods to make the Hulk, that said i will be investiging in some rope, a hand winch and a fold down spade :D

you will be amazed just how far you can push one of these with out any mods you must remember these where designed to do this kind of stuff like land rovers where unlike the more soft roading bmw or freelanders. and even on a set of road tires if your gently you will get round most places without to much trouble but like you say a length of good strong rope and a hand which would not hurt but try to go out with others if you can help it so you don't get your self in trouble i say this from a safety point of view in case you get trapped or have no signal. there are a few guides on here for laning and what is deemed a standard good kit for taking with you

but most all remember have fun lol

Cheers for that matey :)

It certainly feels solid enough if a little squidgy, although this could just be me as I am used to "normal cars"
