What Frontera to go for

Hi all my name is Simon and I currently run a 300tdi disco, I'm selling it and I'm looking for a new project and thought a frontera would be a good idea as it fits nicely between at disco and vitara which is what I had before the disco. The only issue I've got is what’s the best one to go for as I know nothing about them, can anyone advise?

Series A 2.8 LWB.

Coil suspension at back. Front torsion bars at front. Plenty of room inside. Returns 30+ mpg regardless of what you do to it. No ECU or electronics to go wrong. The 2.8 is the Isuzu lump as fitted to early Troopers so you being a Landy owner will probably know that engine is fitted in a lot of Landys as a mod.

I replaced my 300tdi with the A series 2.8 lwb and can honestly say it was the best thing I ever did

Hi and welcome to the forum! My personal choice would be the "A" series 2.8TDi but saying that the 2.0ltr Sport can hold its own off road.

my 2.2 lwb petrol went everywhere the other lads discos went yesterday. the 2.8 is the best choice

Hi, I have the 2.5 td 97' and it does me well with no complaints, iv had fun off road with a mate in his jacked up disco and apart from the obvious clearance and noticing the disco having more torque i pretty much went where he did
Only one issue with the 2.5.. parts are a little more expensive as it is different with a lot of its parts compared to all other Fronty's.
