Hi I,m back!

Hi all after a week of searching I have bought my second b 52 plate fronty!
I realised there were going to be compromises so I have one that is cosmetically pleasing with service history so I gambled on being able to get the mechanics up to scratch afterwards!
So here I am, problem one rattle from the lower left side of engine, after listening for a while I came to the conclusion it was exhaust related rather than engine. Problem two..light amounts of White smoke which does evaporate, never the less is present.
Another less concerning problem is how to get that horrible silicon crap of the dashboard, never understand why people do that!
Anyway any help would be appreciated including if anyone can recommend a garage in the Birmingham area.
