Hey, I'm Tracy, I'm 27 and I live on the Isle of Lewis in Scotland with my wee girl Shannon who's 6 and my American Bulldog Cleo, oh and a couple of cats Got myself a Frontera in March as needed something cheap but with lots of space for all my junk, my daughter, the dog and any one else that needs a lift . Already had a few wee bits needed tinkering with but the main thing I joined up for was to see is I could get hold of a pair of rear outside door handles? Both are broken and one door is ceased which is proving allot of fun and frustration to open so any idea on that would be great I'm not great with cars but I try to do what I feel I can which isn't much, I think my proudest moment was when I changed the disc's and pads on my Astra all by myself Maybe speak to some of you soon and pick ya brains for tips on how to keep my car on the road

Hey,
Thanks for the Reply.
Cant open it from inside, took the inner panel off and the internal mechanism seems to be working fine ( the bar moves when pulling the internal handle ) but I can't see of feel weather it is pulling the catch up, My dad suggested a spray he uses on rusted over bolts so may chase him up on that and give it a go
Yeah sorry its a 2.8TDi LWB and its an N reg

it could be the child lock sticking, if you can look up or feel above the lock there should be a small white plastic, see if it will move,

as you know if the child lock is on, it wont open from inside, another thing to try is, as you have the door card of, try pulling the bar that should go to the handle, it might be stiff, could be the reason the handle broke the first time,

Hiya and welcome... It might also be worth holding up the door lock knob at the top of door as you try the handle...sometimes these stick and will prevent the door opening if they dont come all the way up with the central locking... The OSR door on my 2.8lwb does this every other time I go to open it...must fix it one day! Laters Gregster
