thanks A friend, not sure which way i'm going yet till the sat nav tells me. :D i'll try and borrow my mates at the weekend to see which way it sends me and let you know. Is one of those two tonne tow ropes from argos any good for recovery? dont know where to get the rest of the gear from in plymouth.

Nope two ton will be ok on the road as there is no resistance but you can treble the weight of a truck stuck in mud easily

Ive bought from this guy and so have a few on here, you get what you pay for, its a good bit of kit.

we're not leaving home till the friday afternoon

due to the time ...and number of stops we'll be taking ...we'll be going up on our own

Ahhh yes the ditch pmsl DONT DEVIATE FROM THE TRACK ON THE CAMPSITE or you will go down some deep steep drainage ditches, believe me you wont know until your in them, and the farmer wont be to happy no matter how much we will laugh at you pmsl.
