Re: Mad March Weekend, The SequelHi Guys,
Having not done one of these before, can you answer the following for me. Do I need to book the camping direct with the camp site, as I would like a caravan pitch with electric hook up. Also we may want to stay on Sunday night due to the long drive home for us. Again does this need to be done direct? Traffic lights in London are just rough guidelines
Re: Mad March Weekend, The SequelGood points there badboy, was starting to wonder myself about the booking and payments

Re: Mad March Weekend, The Sequel
It might be prudent to make a booking for caravans, as you will then be guaranteed a pitch with electric hookups. Regarding tents,no need to book as I have booked the site for us and we will pay the farmer individually. Cant see any problem with anyone staying over until Monday, I think the farmer would welcome your custom ![]() G.
Re: Mad March Weekend, The Sequeldont know if it has been mentioned, how much

Re: Mad March Weekend, The Sequel
Dunno Andy ,forgot to ask how much they're charging this year, but rest assured, they are cheaper than the one that we stayed on previously ![]() G.

Re: Mad March Weekend, The SequelThanks guys, I'm not bringing a caravan... just a tent and sleeping bag. Might be a bit cold but the wife will be with to keep it a bit warmer
![]() Another question though.. Will I need to sort recovery points as I've not done this yet. And if its going to be a good idea do you know of anyone down my way that I can take the truck to to get them sorted. SHE MUST GET BIGGER BOOTS

Re: Mad March Weekend, The SequelYou will be ok with the front towing eye, and if you have a rear towbar.

Re: Mad March Weekend, The Sequel
Hi Guys, I've just spoken to very nice lady who I've now booked and paid my caravan slot with. For anyone else who is bringing a van, the cost per pitch, per night, with electric hookup is £14 ![]() Just let her know you are part of the large booking she has for 15 tents that weekend ![]() Sorry Andy, I forgot to ask how much tents cost, but based on the caravan cost I'd guess at £6-8 per night Traffic lights in London are just rough guidelines
Re: Mad March Weekend, The Sequelcheers bb, its just i dont carry cash on me, everything is plastic these days
flying solo, weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Re: Mad March Weekend, The SequelYou never carried cash on you before plastic, Andy
![]() Should, imagine BadBoys estimate to be about right as it was £6.00 per tent when I last stayed on this site 2 years ago. G. Last edited by BoxCleva on Fri Feb 25, 2011 11:11 pm, edited 1 time in total.

Re: Mad March Weekend, The SequelJust a couple of things,
1. Sorry to disappoint the people that were especially looking forwards to doing the infamous B.stard lane, but it is now off the agenda as it is definitely TRO'd ![]() 2.As most off the dead wood around the camp site will have already been used, can we all collect and bring a some firewood with us so as we can have a decent camp fire on the Friday night, we can replenish the stocks for the Saturday night whilst we are out laning ![]() G.
Re: Mad March Weekend, The SequelI have plenty of firewood that i can bring, so no worries with that. Is the campsite owner OK with fires then ?
Re: Mad March Weekend, The SequelGreat news on the firewood M8, how ya fixed on the Booze front then ?
![]() I have permission for the camp fire already sorted, so long as we tidy up after ourselves afterwards by moving the stones etc. ![]() G.
Re: Mad March Weekend, The SequelI have a free source of firewood, much to my disappointment I don't have a free source of booze
![]() I'm impressed that the owner will allow a fire, most campsites frown on that ![]()
Re: Mad March Weekend, The SequelThere are thousands of sites that will let you have a camp fire, you would be surprised. I have been camping for over 40 years both at home and abroad, I have organised numerous sites for motorcycle rally's , through my employment organising camp sites for kids holidays with having to visit and complete strict risk assessments on the sites beforehand, and of course the number of camps I've put on for fog, each one giving permission for camp fires
Anyone who's been on any of my camps will know that a camp fire will be allowed,on a common sense and at your own risk basis. Its the normally the posh sites which have bowling green grass and charge accordingly that don't allow them, and I don't use them. G.
