Had a brilliant day again, thanks folks and a big thanks to Alex for some expert tuition on failed climb recovery. Finally got home about 9pm with no lights, wipers, windows, dead alty, EML on and airbag light on and at last corner to home BIG rattle. Me thinks Angelina is very poorly and bobbinsjob is well and truly sharing the K9 abode :grumpy: . Piccies to follow and vids.

Nice to meet you andyniagra

Pushed Angelina harder than ever today but think hitting the water too hard didnt do her any good :(

Quick status report from me .....

1. I'm Still breathing, so MRS MUCKER must have calmed down.

2. Alternator is FOOOBARED, really cream crackered.

3. A Bar is totalled, I don't even think bodyfiller will help.

4. Started Motor refused to play last night, but after a good jet wash off, all seems to be ok.

5. Recovery hook mounting point is Fooooked, hook now pointing 90 degrees to opposite way.

6. Need to clean the 3" of mud out of the front foot wells.

Oh well, it'll keep me busy for the next few days.

But what a great day.

I see Mr Mucker would rather take heat for killing the bullbar on a big hill rather than come clean, he did it on a mole hill

Honestly, it was maybe 4 foot tall, just on a bend. I did whhhay more big slopes with a six year old aboard. Its the speed that makes the difference, the 2 that rolled did it a walking pace. Its not like Donnington where everyones doing 90+

:axe: keep ducking the blows Jase.

Alternator update.

Just took it off the truck, opened it up and found lumps of clay type mud, 7 pieces of carbon contacts and nothing left on the end of the pressure springs which go to the regulator. :? :? :?

So I can catagorically say it is .............. BROKEN

Oh well, she can only black two eyes.

Alternator status report.

All systems working fine. Alternator replaced, 15 of the queens finest golden nuggets from my local scrap yard straight off the shelf.

Anyway, Suppose I better put my photos & Videos on.

Well here goes the photos.

The first culprit of the day. Martin got stuck on his first obstacle.

Image

But later redeemed himself by going down the 1 in 10, in 2nd gear and accelerating.

Image

Please don't try that at home.

Alex lining up for the 1 in 10

Image

Alex showing Martin how it should be done.

Image

Now you see him ......

Image

John M, doing his first 1 in 10, minus the kids.

Image

followed off by a gentle splash.

Image

Seems to becoming some what of a regular thing at Farley .... CAKE !!!
Master Muckers 10th Birthday.

Image

Image

Ok, i better put them on then.

MRS MUCKERS ( :grumpy: ) truck seems to be missing something ...... Can't quite put me finger on it ????

Image

Oh, thats it, the "A" bars seem to be missing.

Image

Image

And the offending boulder, the size of Telford.

Image

Not the only one to sustain some damage. Alex's truck too a little knock

Image

Image

A line up shot

Image

And the after event photo shot

Image

Forgot to mention this guy. He was a complete looney all day, basically anything went, did'nt give a S*it.

Image

Managed to get completely grounded at the top of a 30 foot hill.

Then his second attempt

Image

Forgot to mention, this truck had NO underbody protection other than the gearbox and axles. Then when speaking with the guy later he mentioned the fact that the truck was NOT his and he had BORROWED it off his BOSS !!!!!

P45 me thinks.

Going back to the "A" bar incident, I decided to go and check out the offending rock later on in the day. I video'd the decent on foot.

Image

Then Master Mucker tried his hand at off roading, to which I must point out, far better than his old man.

Image

Image

Then another junior FOG member, named Spencer tried his hand at off roading, with dad Alex closely at his side.

Cheers mate.

Looks like the "A" bar maybe able to be saved as well.

Originally looked like this :

Image

Image

A quick grind down to remove the rough stuff, 4 Layers of filler, plenty of sanding, a quick spray with black paint to highlight the high spots and I have now got to this stage :

Wont be as good as the original but i'll be happy with about 95 %
