Found a few Fog faces at Stainby and a lot more Trooper/LR/RR/Surf faces for a weekend of off roading.
Those who dont know the place, its a quarry, but unlike a lot of others the rocks arent so numerous and theres lots of mud so its not such a critical site as minor mistakes arent punished as badly.
It has a mix of nice easy slopes to ridiculous along with long mud runs.
Its got a huge field for camping and close enough to supermarkets despite being out in the sticks.
We convoyed from Cannock, Nifty in lead with the essential sat nav with Goldfinder, Weave, my wife in the pimp mobile and me in the tank.
We spent the majority of the weekend as a group, but the guys from 4x4offroadinguk.net
Set on a huge Barbeque and a kids party for some birthday girls and looked after everyone, even got tempted to the dark side or should I say the yellow side, Buttercup and shortened RR.
The off roading was excellent, the new recruits got stuck in and the wife had some great drives around the quarry.
I did too, however play did end up getting cut short when the Asbo curse struck and I threw a little to much caution to the wind to get up a steep one. Lots of clunking and banging but we got up. I now have a suspect front diff, and ripped an anti roll bar mount off the fron divers side
Cant say much more, heres a few piccies of the meet (I dont do many)

Glad your back ok. We had some funny looks to, Both our trucks ran a bit warmer coming back and Matts clutch started to slip. I know he has plans to sort the oil seal out and drop a new clutch in. Just wether its before or after we make a new bumper for the Asbo machine
Its going to be an easier fix than the RR that rolled forwards Got me thinking on a roll bar.

Might of guessed ASBO was involved with the breaking of your truck.
Talking of ASBO, where is the front spot light? It's missing in one of the photos. Hope he has'nt lost it or broke it. He's very proud of them, showing them off last time I saw him !!!!
Glad you all had a good time. Unfortunately I had to miss it due to Kyles operation.
Looks like more of you made it home on your own steam rather than a flat bed truck.

You missed a good one. Nifty lost the lamp hitting some water a bit quick, most unlike him
He did get it back and should make a full recovery. However the reshaping of the rear bumper wont be a quick fix.
Weave needs one of your rubber gloves to stop his 2.4 grumbling Havent herd from Goldfinder or Ryan to make sure they got back. Goldfinders altenator was a bit troublesome and Ryan has a starting problem, but cant see something like that stopping him getting home.
I'm looking forward to my comfy bed tonight, we drank a bit much last night and when I went to bed this morning I didnt want to wake anyone fighting with my mummy bag in the dark and went to kip without. Then Spence got up in the night and lef the tent door open

Got home ok.
The starting problem has fixed itself, it lost the switch feed to starter relay so had to bridge the relay with a fork to start it. Tried to start it of the key before i left stainby and it started and has been ok since.
The fronty is running really well now, not bad considering the top half of the engine seized on the way to Stainby friday night. It's a good job i can source parts quickly or i would'nt have made it to Stainby.

Keep waiting for you to pull your top off and have a big S on your chest
looks like your helping out with the RR body as well, going to have to let us know when the beast is running, worth a meet on its own.

Have been off work today so have finished the wiring diagram's for the other fronty. Will give the broken toe a few days rest and will crack on and finish the build off, so looks like a couple of weeks of very late nights in the workshop.
Then when that project's finished will start on the V8.
