Club meet. Cannock Chase; JUNE 30th - Reports

Postby Trugga on Sat Jun 30, 2007 8:51 pm

Another cracking day out, following the "Blue Bells" through a maze of tracks that is Cannock Chase Forest.

The Fronteras fayred pretty well, in amongst a selection of modified green ovals - at least we all drove home with the correct number of shock absorbers

A few piccies from me (clicky for a biggie)

:crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying:

Totally brassed off I could'nt attend. Spent weeks getting my truck ready.

On the plus side, my truck is UP AND RUNNING AGAIN, with no valve damage...... So looking forward to the next meeting.

Glad you all had an excellent day. Looks lots of fun, and a good turnout, considering the weather.

Not quite 7' tall Paul merely 6'6"   & me names Chris

I was one of the devious gits that set out the course for you yesterday along with me Partner in crime Steve Raybould, was a right old laugh & a good day out, I must admit your truck nearly had me turning to the dark side Paul but after confession last night I'm back with the green side of the force

It was great to see you all yesterday, did Wolfie get back ok? I lost track after winching him up the ski slope top road as I know he only had 2 wheel drive.

Sorry we didnt get back in time to have a pint with you all but we had to collect all them blummin letter boards in & I even managed to miss one on the Rhoddies side & I put em out

Only got a few pics yesterday as was busy roaming the forest and unfortunately for Wolfie theyre all of him on the end of me winch wire

Hope to see you all again soon :D

Was a great day out, told Bill he has some great guys running around out there, the repairs in the quarry were spot on. It is very reassuring to know you wont leave a guy unable to get home

I feel a repeat booking coming on, this time with a few more motors fielded.

For those who have not driven Cannock Chase, here's a little in-car clip of some of the terrain:

YouTube Clicky

Not much hand--held footage as were rather busy with reading the bluebells.
