If I'm free, I'd be up for a looksee at some different lanes. I take it you are referring to laning rather than P&P.

Right, here goes :

I have been talking, for the last few days, with a chap from Pembrey 4x4

http://www.pembrey4x4.co.uk/

He has a pay and play site just west of Carmarthen, off the A40

Heres what he wrote

Mat,

Looks like an active group, always good to see.

We can certainly organise a meet on the site here, it's just west of
Carmarthen off of the A40, nice and easy to get to. Cost will be £40 per
vehicle, given the likely numbers.

As I mentioned, the site can be quite challenging in winter, but I'm happy
to host an event if you're happy with that. Otherwise, we can get something
together next summer, as you wish.

I don't have many pictures of the site, I'm afraid, I always seem to be
rather busy when I'm up there. It's around 160 acres on the side of the
Towy Valley, of which we use about half, mostly mature woodland with some
field edges. Terrain varies from challenging to terrifying :-)

If you'd like to come down and have a look around, let me know, and I'll
give you a bit of a tour.

Regards,
Geoff

I will need to see the site first, obviously. I would appreciate someone coming with me, who has experience of these things

It may be too 'challenging' at this time of year, so this is by no means definite.

I got an email from Geoff at Pembrey 4x4 today

We're a business rather than a club, providing off road driver training as
well as the Pay and Play days. We're purely Land Rover based, not for any
religious reasons, but mostly because I do all the spannering on the
vehicles, and Land Rovers are what I know best. They also seem to stand up
to the abuse of training novices off road rather better than some other
makes.

Regards,
Geoff

I know its expensive, but still a possible meet later next year.

I will keep in touch with him
