4x4 Parks

Postby bmouthboyo on Sun Apr 22, 2018 7:32 am

Hey guys,

I just found out there is a fairly decent 4x4 Park near me in the new forest at Lyndhurst. I have a 2.2 dti front b lab and was wondering if anyone could give me some advice for a newbie.

How do the larks work, who do you usually go with, who helps when stuck, can these frontys navigate as standard or do I need special equipment, will it knackered my motor lol

Any advice appreciated

Have you got a link to the park? Is your fronty standard? I would say minimum a/t tyres and 2in suspension lift I had this on mine and could go pretty much anywhere. Is yours swb or lwb

The place is called http://muddybottomoffroad.co.uk/. I have never been off-roading before but thought might be fun, just no idea how these parks work.

For a 2” lift I assume that means new springs and shocks? That I imagine would make this pretty pricey along with sourcing some wheels for mud tyres.

It’s a LWB 2002 Olympus so I imagine not ideal due to weight?

Springs on rear and wind up torsion bar on front. Just get ATS you won't need muds. Do you have someone you can go with to give you some tips?

If only the duck was working... I may have to get on and sort out the engine problem...
If you would like some one to give pointers while offroading I'm only in Basingstoke and can come along and give advice
