a lot of cars have them built into one of the wing mirrors. we sell loads that are like that. Drift the sensor in the grille on ours is the ambient air temp sensor for the cold start system
Patience is a Virtue engineered by a Frontera...

Found it.....
It is between grille and radiator. Tell me.... is there a way of releasing the 2 grille clips in the engine compartment without resorting to removing the battery and the air box!!! Bl**dy Vauxhall couldn't design a shopping trolley! V6 Isuzu Vehicross
Fixed!...... now have temp display!
Funny how much you use this and not notice until it's not there anymore! Got the new sensor from this guy on Ebay. He has some good Fronty parts and the prices are really cheap. eBay Link Edit (Trugga): Link text reduced to preserve forum layout V6 Isuzu Vehicross
Well done Paul.
Did you work out how to remove the B's grill ? (I'm only familiar with the A) Lawrence
Hi,
Eventually! There are two spring clips in the engine bay. Just tight enough to NOT be able to release with your fingers, and just so inaccessible that you can't get pliers on them! They are square in section, fortunately I had some bits of square section brass tubing laying around in the shed. One of them was just the right size to push over the clip and compress it enough. There's probably a special Vauxhall tool to do the job at several billion pounds ......... Stupid thing is, if you need to replace a front indicator bulb (reasonably common occurance I would think) ...... Yes....... you have to ........ Remove the Grille! V6 Isuzu Vehicross
Re: Outside Temperature Sensor "B"Thanks for posting back to let us know how you got on.
