Changed my down pipe, it was an absolute nightmare job,Struggled do undo the manifold bolts, had to remove pipe and cat, cut the cat off, drilled out the studs so I could use bolts, had to heat up the sensor mount before it would budge.
It all went back together ok and betsy's purring like a kitten not sounding like a tractor now, It took me about 5 hours, wish i'd have put it in the garage but never mind jod done. :D

As bobby said, looks a good motor you have there Jellybaby :D

My task for today has been put off today, and all I've ended up doing is running around with a catering size tin of WD40 (other sprays are available) squirting it everywhere I could think of...

I was planning on doing the SWB - LWB lights mod, however I hadn't reckoned with my towbar. It's obviously not a pukka Vx job, as it gets in the way of the rear toing eye, and sits lower than a real one, and as I discovered, the electrics have been fitted with liberal use of scotchloks and electrical tape in all sorts of odd places. So saying, I decided to leave things for now til the weekend, then I'll whip the bar off and sort the mess out.

Definitely not happy with the previous owners of this motor, cos they lack for any sense with the electrics - the headlining and dash could probably do with coming out to sort out things like the courtsesy lamp not working, and the clock resetting itself every time i open the door.

All good fun, eh??

And as a follow up to this afternoon's electrical endeavours, I figured a tidy of the inside was in order, and found out why my back seat is a mite wobbly when it's in the "up" position...

Turns out that the 2 captive nuts on one side aren't, and have escaped  so I forsee a fun time to be had with trying to do something about that.
On the plus side though, I did find the hidey hole for the original Vx bottle jack thingy - still in there, too... It'll be just the job as a doorstop, i reckon
