Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Re bled the brakes after changing disks pads and calipers the other day. I like being able to stop and not smelling of burning brake when i arrive anywhere
If it ain't broke, fix it before it does!! You know it will!!
Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Drove out of a muddy car park via a steep bank, across a field and through a mahoosive great muddy puddle and back onto the road, why?, because I could.

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Was going to replace the Cat on it but, after doing my back in last month, took it to local fitters instead.
Took them a while (over an hour) but only cost me £50 and it runs a bit sweeter now. Old one was the original and at 141,000+ was more than a little tired! Noli Illegitimi Carborundum

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Fitted a new battery then went for a spin, its the first time in nearly 6 years I have driven my 2.8 with near stock tyres on, they have always been steels with 265/75/16 muds, I have the spare set on now and they are early A series star alloys with 255/75/15 AT's and boy is the car revvier and more nippy
But on the motorway in this wind was interesting, I nearly left a bit of poopoo on my seat, the wind seems to catch the car a bit more (wheels not filling the arches as much?) and the lighter steering due to smaller tyres was also interesting I had forgot what it was like, I will get used to it soon enough and save fuel and wear on my muds Ste

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!I put my original wheels on and boy does it look funny without the wheels filling the arches.
Also removed my towbar electrics as I trashed at the last picnic I went to. ROADS? WHERE WERE GOING WE DON'T NEED ROADS!!
Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Gave the Bus a bit of a run today...
Had to go to Portchester for a session of DCPC training (grr, teaching bloody granny to suck eggs, that) and went a bit early then floored it 20 odd miles down the road towards Chichester and back. Cleared the cobwebs out averaging about 80 or so, and reminded me just how much fun these trucks are. Jim...
