WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!

Rebuilt my old alternator with some new brushes in (from a bosch washing machine) :wink:

put on a new battery from a mate of mine
that works on hospital back up generators and found that the 12mm nut that holds the link cable that goes from the solenoid to the starter motor
was finger tight. Now she starts and charges like a dream, just in time for winter...... :wink:

found a screw in 1 of my tyres so had a puncture

I replaced the upper and lower ball joints on NSF and OSF, replaced the brake pads though they were not as worn as I thought..
Fitted a CV boot to the NSF wheel, to take a break from trying to fix the engine which is now really annoying me as it wont start!

Day #3 coming up!

Thats why i bought me little VW Golf 1.4 as its cheap road tax/cheap on insurance/and cheap on fuel!!! It also goes like stink!!!!!!! :thumbup:

I think anything would go like stink compared to our trucks.

I have to admit that I use the wifes Astra Mk.IV 1.4 when I can. That again is cheaper by 10 mpg if I take it easy, and also unleaded is cheaper to buy as well.

I have had an increase in the clunking on the drivers side front suspension, it clunks now and then as the ARB hits the shock body but it seems the shock lower mount bushes have worn as there is lots of play, so I might as well change the front shocks while I am at it as I put these on nearly six years ago

So off to look for some front shocks now :roll:

Swapped the tyres round from the muds to the road tyres to get through MOT. brother also picked up that the MOT station didnt know differance between fog light and brake light.....f'ing idiots and did 2 advisories on tyres that are legal

Intend to clear out the boot of the thing ready for the "Big truck things" trade and prolly the last time i'll see the thing

Repaired two rust holes in the roof (next to the sunroof)

Washed it and stuck the fronty wheels with 31" on

Well today I finished my bonnet repair

Not the best but it looks good,it could do with a new bonnet as the bonnet is rotting from the inside,because the mud and water has got in to the structure of the bonnet
