banter general discussions etc

Well today after about a week of running around in limp mode I couldnt hack it any longer and falked out and got myself a brank spanking new crank position sensor from unipart....just under £30....not as bad as I thought....but still unwelcome none the less. Then when I got home I desided to check the front bearings as a few days ago they had started to rumble and have gotten noticebly worse each day. Well other than the brown gunk that once was greece, they seem prity much buggered, so about 10months and 30k miles (and lots of water crossings teehee) after fitting new ones....Im going to have to fit new ones again.... :/ Oh and on my way home today I spotted this....it'l prolly be of no intrest to any1 other than ratcav..but oh well

Yesterday...Cleared the fault codes with a little telephone help from BoxClever. Today...checked all the fluids and topped up the coolant as it was a little bit low. Oil looks a little black, so could probably do with a service soon. Also found the EGR valve I bought a couple of months back...but put it in such a great and safe place. It was in the boot of the car.

Chopped my new 2.8shorty about a bit and welded 2 new chassis crossmembers in and mounted a Harveyfrost wrecking crane in the back with my brothers help as the crane is bleedin heavy.. will be right handy for move the mountain of patrol and frontera axles up the workshop without me killing myself in the process... will be useful for hauling huge logs and stumps up the woods too. Next job is to chop about the rear bodywork some more and kinda step side it, then redrill my bobcat skid steer wheels (solid metal, no tyres to puncture, and whack them on it. Might quickly knock up a bulkhead for it, or lob a tarp over it...dunno yet. Then a major tidy up time up the side of the workshop, cut up or repair one of my car trailers, and overhaul the other one, and make space for my new downdraught spray booth

I booked the Fronty in for it's MOT doesn't seem like 12 months ago since the last one, it failed on a no plate bulb and a leaking fuel pipe, well chuffed £25 quid to get it sorted at the garage and no retest sorted.
Now insurance renewal and tax at the end of the month, it just doesn't end.
I would prefer a full bottle in front of me than a full frontal lobotomy. Seek not excess, God hates he who roams !
