Oil, Air and fuel filters. Took handbrake cables and shoes off (after MOT) - mostly fell apart.
Started compiling list of stuff to do. It's long.

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Got fed up 'tacking' while trying to go in a straight line while on the way home from work, so after tea I jacked the thing up and onto axle stands to get the weight off the front wheels then undid the lock nut on the steering box adjuster and tightend things up a bit. Quick full lock test to make sure it wasent tooo tight and then a test drive having tightened it all back up. Much better, it goes in a straight line now without having to muck about.
Total time taken? No more than an hour start to finish This posting may have been helpfull, on the other hand probably not... Either way, I may have had drink when posting it in which case it's probably not as helpfull as it could have been

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!FFS.
Removed both rear calipers, one of the slide bolts on the o/s had to be hammered out Other side wasn't as bad, but discs and pads both mullered. Top it all I think I buggered me hernia at the same time ![]() ![]()
Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Nothing to mine, but welded up the rear diff in Retropedros 2.8 shorty...
Pete tried, quite succesfully to demolish the workshop, reversing his car into the door and ripping the doorframe/wall out....soon fixed with big hammers though! Then took it for a test round the woods...and it worked really well...infact too well... We had a bit of a moment, (understatement of the century!) and kinda layed it on its side, luckily I was out of the car and managed to hold it from going right over...(you know when a car is well over when you are standing on the Offside, and are holding it up by the roof rail on the NEARSIDE which is right in front of you!!! it still had an easy 6ft under the nsr tyre and about 5ft under the nsf!)... after a bit of very careful shunting, we got it stable and Pete just managed to squeeze out of the drivers window and helped me to push it back to more sensible angle. we then shunted it again until it came down a bit more and was on the 2 wheels o/s and the rock slider on the offside, then I could finally let go and attach the winch cable to a tree and drag the front down levelling the car so it could be driven out. Was all a bit worrying In hindsight it wasnt the best idea to reverse into the tyre changing hole to get it all kinda controlled and acrobatic with its new locked up rear end...all was well and it was looking good at an impressive angle until the osr spun about 2 revolutions as the nsr climbed the bank on the other side... The combination of a very aggressive tyre, with most of the weight of the car on it in the bottom of the tyre changing hole which was waterlogged infill earth, meant that the tyre in just a couple of revolutions dug an 18" deep hole, which then put the car well past its centre of gravity, and it was going over... No exageration when I say I was holding the left had roof rail kinda just above my chest height when standing on the right of the car...and it was everything I could do to hold it from going completely onto its side. It was that far over that I couldnt push it back to its CofG point, in fact the pair of us couldnt, we just got it more level so it was wedged on its rock sliders and n/s tyres. Carnage...OSR quarter a bit more dented, OSF wing a bit more dented where they were on the ground, 1/4 of tank of diesel leaked out of the filler where we think the cap popped off when the rear quarter flexed...and 2 people with more grey hairs than they started out with! Will have to get Pete to do it again on Saturday, so we can get some pics this time!!! See I told ya you could get into all sorts of new trouble with it locked up Pete!
