finally got it beltching black spoke when it started but at least it started now it is running smotther and getting smoother just doing the service now

Today I did the back discs and pads, on a school night too! That's two things in a week what with the cv boots! I shall need a lie down!

I once did that with mk3 escort from aberdeen to glasgow had to keep filling can up cause fuel lines split

well i finally cleaned the boot up today as it had tools spread everywhere instead of being put back in the tool chest :oops:

been like that for a over a week but needed it sorted for my little jaunt this weekend :dance:

Started the engine up - started first time which I was pleased about seeing I haven't used it for near on three weeks.

Next I gave it a 2" lift, that took about five minutes..........by reinflating the part soft tyres :lol:

Finally used it as the daily driver for the rest of the day - brilliant.

I removed my secondary air injection system. :dance:

Might fit a set of air horns in the space.

Tank guard painted n treated. Fuel tank fitted fresh made tank straps fitted tank guardn tank fitted back on the sport forgot heat shield will have to drop tank again.
exhaust refitted need gasket at rear pipe join .
started it up ran as sweet as always bar wee blow from exhaust back pipe. Need to book mot now

Took the car on a 30 mile run and incorporated about 100yds on loose rough and squishy track in 4wd-lo just to keep everything rotating good. Reassuring clicks of the front autohubs engaging and disengaging at about 1metre distances so that was good too. Downside, a single mis-fire at 30mph in 5th gear. Don't know where it came from, that was after about 20 miles into the journey.

Worked out my fuel economy. Covered 550km and filled up to the same point ... All in all worked out to be 35.87mpg

I got it back from the Crash Repair People! has nice new bumper, headlights and indicators. Bonnet seems a little flappy on the front edge tho. Meh, Bonnet pins should sort that out.

I pulled out the roll bar at the back end to begin the ply lining process and gonna pull the drivers seat out in the morning to replace the dead sponge

I added more lights to The STIG and they are wired upto the brake lights.
