Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!With the assistance of Alex (and Spence' for a couple of minutes), managed to replace the steering idler pivot, upper ball joints (both sides) and all four CV gaiters on the Sport.
Upper ball joints were extremely stubborn, braking a splitter on the second one, but were removed without the use of heat. Just a few more bits to do then it'll be submitted for it's MOT in a few weeks time. Cheers Alex.
Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!As ever was educational, and a good day's honest work. At least now the diff drop will be a lot easier as all the nuts and bolts have been broken and copperslipped.
How did she drive home? Fronty no.4, pimp mobile Treg 3.2 LWB lifted 2.5"
Fronty no.5 2.8 swb hd coils +2" 31"machos.
Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Discovered that 4 metres of vacuam pipe is not enough
Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!
Better, as expected No more clicking from the CV joint and a good solid feel to the steering (although I need to recentre the steering wheel Seems to sit more level as well and the front is definitely a little higher than what it was. Oh, and please thank Mrs Alex for lunch. Lawrence

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Today... part stripped a tailgate in preparation with a swap to the Sport - but left the handle bolts soaking in WD40 (I just know they are going to snap when I undo them).
Removed the broken bit of the Estates exhaust and managed to undo the flange bolts - just need to replace the rear box and then the tail pipe can go back on. Took the mirrors of the Sport... Lawrence

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!
There exsternal sockets Stu but yes will still have a switch. And i put them on there to use a tyre inflator and hand held spot lamp or anything else that needs to be pluged in for use outside the vehicle. ![]() The original idea came from Trugga's sport.
