Just been out to the car, I put a caliper on it yesterday left the interia light on and the radio :evil:

, Will she start? of corse not Grrrr flat as a pancake :axe:

Jumpleads yep tryed them on my wifes 1.1 Kia Picanto, not a hope the battery in my phone is bigger :lol:

. O well stuck the battery charger on time for a cup of tea

Today I went to see Scott to help him take the engine out of this donor car (ihavegotalittlebabyfrontera). Came home and did wrote a job list for my truck - ran out of paper list is sooooooo long. When I think nothing else can go wrong with my truck.... it does! There is nothing else to rebuild to go wrong!!

i broke it, hahahha, the AA truck limped home, well actually she drove home fine, now i need to lock the viscus unit down

After a laning trip, changed a brake caliper, inner and outer bearing, seal and the brake caliper carrier.

The black stuff on the left used to be a wheel bearing like the one on the right :shock:

And I cooked the caliper and carrier :oops:

Done nothing to the fronty but reduced my bmw 328i to a skeleton ready to weigh it in as scrap :cry:

Yesterday (Sunday)

With Alfies help (and excellent facilities), I managed to swap out the broken gearbox with a replacment from Ryan.

It was a long hard day, but I drove home with a working transfer box (and associated 4WD gears), a new crankshaft rear oil seal and a new clutch and release bearing (plus refurbished drive shafts)

Had great fun getting it muddy yesterday, just got to clean it today so I can get out and earn some pennies

It must have been wearing for a while but never made the usual grumbling noises :evil:

and traveling at motorway speeds didnt help.

You can fit/check a front bearing without taking the wheel off and in under 20 minutes if your old bearing race is in good nick, the rear you need to take the whole brake disc off to takes a bit longer, it very easy to do though, I think there is a "how to do it" in that section

Put the 12v mini fridge in the car to keep snacks and such nice and cool, need to lengthen the wire though it wont fit in the boot (bout metre too short)
