Dave is doing well....goes back to work 2moz...

Op was a success and they got the lump of metal out and removed the cataract and fitted a new lense ....

He has had to rest it lots since and is slowly getting sight back in it again...so fingers crossed its all gonna be ok for the fella...

He has been on I think...will get him to post in ere next time...

Well thanks again fellas the opp went well they removed a chunk of steel out of the back of the eye about 4 mm big my pc broken so are get Greg to put it on my sight is coming back slowley can see some things out of it but not alot the opp was 3 hours long and the said it agent to plan ( good job lol ) they say I have to wait up a year to see if fall sight comes back they washed it the best they could but beens some rust is still in the eye they dont no so fingers crossed but the at least I have no more head ache which of had for the past year. All ways wear safety glass fellas don't be a me ( nob head ) takes 1 second to put them on

good luck getting better mate. the apprentice at work caught some grinder spark in his eye this week while watching my dad remove a transit wheel bearing. he had a go with glasses on then took them of to get a better look and caught it. luckily enough work is very hot on ppe and we all get new every 6 months max

from now on i promise to wear ppe as it is only a matter of time because there is that saying "its only a matter of time" as poor dave found out and for the sake of a 2 quid pair of goggles and mybe looking like a knob for half an hour your risking your eyesight, same goes for boots and hats, i bet hes kicking himself, i wish dave all the best and hope hes not in too much pain and with all of todays tech and medacine we have im sure theres a fix, a hefty lesson but a lesson to us all.
